I am upon the last few days of Advent, and I continue to prepare my heart for Him, He who is to come, Emmanuel. The focus on this last week of Advent is peace; all the advent candles are lit, shining brightly, giving the glimpse of what is to come, the great light who burns with great love for all of us.
The angel Gabriel was sent to Mary, to announce the good news, that she would be the mother of God, the angel Gabriel was sent to Joseph to announce that he would take Mary as his wife and the child was the awaited Messiah. Joseph would continue to have more heavenly messages from heaven to guide him to protect his Holy family.
What beautiful scripture verses to reflect on these last couple days of preparation before Christmas. Do I have peace in my heart, do I listen to the message of the angel? “Do not be afraid” and “With God nothing is impossible.” These are beautiful verses to ponder deep in my heart as I say, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.
