I love this quote from St. Patrick, because when I read it slowly and sit with it awhile, it beckons me closer to the Lord. It is as if I am on a wide road that narrows as I journey on it, and it leads to God. That is where He calls me to be.

It is a beautiful place with green hillsides, flowing streams and gentle rain, there is a cool mist in the air and a cloud cover that stretches over the horizon. The Lord has brought me out of the desert to this place. A stillness surrounds me and I cannot hear any noise, and I be.

I sit with the Lord, and feel the breath of God over the land. It is life giving and beautiful, like a blanket of love which covers everything, and I be.

Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me. St. Patrick
