The extraordinary can be found all around. It is an amazing thing when someone shares a part of their story with you. It seems to begin with ordinary conversation, but ends up going to a deep and profound place of emotional and heartfelt sharing. It is an invitation into the moment; to be present and listen to what is said.
I have also found that it is an awareness of the words that are not said out loud but felt in the silence. To pause and breathe, to let the conversation flow, not force it, but let it find its own way and on its own path. Much like the raindrop that forms the tiny stream and eventually flows to the mighty ocean, there are many turns and twists to get there.
Through the gift and beauty of reception, I have felt God touch my heart and speak to my soul. It is a teardrop that brings forth the words deep within the heart, out into the open to be shared with another; a moment in time, that seems quite ordinary, but in fact it is quite extraordinary.
We meet no ordinary people in our lives. C.S. Lewis
