Let Go

The new year did not start out as I planned. I ended up getting a cold/flu, and I have been sick for over a week now. During this time, my husband unexpectedly traveled back to our home state to visit family. Both of these things changed the plans that I had in place.

One of the things was attending a retreat that I was looking forward to, but God’s plans are better than mine. It allowed my husband to be present to his family, including being there to celebrate a special milestone birthday with his mom. Also, precious time spent with his brother and his family. They are moments to cherish when you live 1,000 miles away.

I was able to be at home, and get the much needed rest that my body needed to recover. It allowed me time to read, reflect and take care of myself. The Lord shows me every day is a new beginning, to let go of what I think the way is, and to follow Him because He knows where He is leading me. He has a plan for me, and it is good.
