Fears and Tears

Light is sweet! and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun. Ecclesiastes 11:7

The weather has been beautiful with abundant sunshine and warm temperatures. I spent some time sitting in the sun, enjoying the feeling of its warmth on my face.

It reminds me of the saints in Heaven, who see God face to face. Where the light always shines and there is not darkness.

My birthday coincides with the beautiful feast day of All Saints. It truly is a special celebration of all the Saints in Heaven, known or unknown.

At Mass, I was overcome with tears at the singing of the Litany of the Saints. And again at Holy Communion. What a joyful experience of being with Jesus and all His angels and saints.

We are called to be in relationship with God, to be Holy as He is Holy, to be Saints. He gives us the Saints as our companions on the journey, our friends that we can go to for their prayers and learn more about their lives as a help to us. With Gods grace, He calls us to Himself, with unending love; to live a full and happy life.

Dear Lord, thank you for the Saints, for the graces that you pour out and for your gift of life. Help me to live in the light where You are, my God and my Lord. Amen.
