Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.
A heaviness has weighed upon me, pushed me to the ground. The Lord desires to lift me up, but I must let Him. Do I desire this?
When the words don’t come, I cry to You, O Lord. You know my thoughts, You are with me. My tears fall in great numbers expressing all I cannot say.
I feel alone, but You are with me. I feel sad, but you are with me. I need you, and You are with me. Where I am, that is where You are.
Then your light shall break forth like the dawn and your wound shall quickly be healed. Isaiah 58:8.
Your warmth shields me, Your love covers me. I feel the brilliant sunshine and the endless ocean enter my body and soul.
Then light shall rise for you in the darkness and the gloom shall become for you like the midday. Then the Lord will guide you always and satisfy your thirst in parched places, will give strength to your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:10-11.
Thank you, O Lord, for when I cry out to You, You listen. Thank you for Your comfort and peace that you pour out upon me. I am grateful that You are close to me. Amen.
