Fears and Tears

The Lord has shown me that when I open my heart to Him, beautiful things happen. He draws me in closer to His love. He shows me that love is all around and given in abundance.

Love is something I struggle with, and I am not sure where that comes from. It is hard for me to express love to others; I tend to hold back my feelings, and it is something that I am working on.

This past week, I was touched many times with an outpouring of gifts for my birthday. The gift of a kind word, the gift of a kind deed, the gift of a kind moment; many things that I will treasure in my heart.

My heart is open to receive the blessings poured out and I am truly grateful to all my dear family and friends. It is a place where I can receive and offer my gratitude to the Lord with much joy and thanksgiving.

Thank you, Lord, for loving me and for all the people you have placed in my life. I pray that I follow Your will for my life, and for an increase of faith, hope, and love. I pray for healing in the areas of my heart that block love, and like a mighty ocean wave that crashes into the rocky shore, my fears, doubts and insecurities be broken up and washed away. I ask all this in Your mighty name, God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
