Go to your inner room

I completed week two of “Magnify 90”, this week emphasized the virtue of affability and the writings of St. Angela Merici. I had to look up the definition of affability, it means being easy to approach and talk to, friendliness, good natured and pleasant. To encourage and lift up, the virtue of friendship.

I feel that God is calling me to go to my inner room, to seek Him in the silence of my heart. He is there, waiting for me. I desire to go to Him and I pray the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples:

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The peace of God covers and shelters me. He calls me His beloved daughter, He holds me close. God is here.

Lord, I offer You my love and friendship. Thank you for all the graces this week and for leading me to the peaceful and serene waters of my inner room. Amen.

Thank you Vikki! You’ve reminded me that I must spend time alone with my Lord.
