This weekend I participated in a Eucharistic procession at Church. It was the feast day of Corpus Christ, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. It was a beautiful Mass that included a processional walk around the Parish grounds and gardens, and concluded with beautiful prayers and songs praising God.
I was near the front of the procession and I was overcome with emotions a few times while I was walking. The pace is slow and steady and I found myself wanting to go faster.
The Lord spoke to my heart, and I sensed that He was telling me to follow His pace, to take one step at a time, and to follow Him. He is the one leading, and He is the way.
Thank you, my God and my Lord, for the reminder that You set the pace for my life. To follow You with greater surrender and to let go of worldly cares. I know, deep in my heart, that you care for me, help me to overcome my anxiety, and follow You with awe and wonder. Amen.
