Fears and Tears

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

Lord, I feel You calling me to let You in. It is a gentle tapping that I have to strain to hear in the worldly noise which surrounds me. A call to open my heart to You and invite You in.

I have opened up certain areas to You, but not all. You desire all of my heart, not just the surface. To allow You into the areas that I have guarded and kept to myself.

The God of the universe desires to dwell with me, what an incredible thought! He loves me completely.

When I feel let down and misunderstood, He understands. When I feel alone and unloved, He understands. When I feel that I don’t belong or fit in, He understands. He lets me cry and feel my emotions, He understands.

When I feel joy and happiness, He understands. When I feel peace and calm, He understands. When I feel beauty and awe, He understands. He lets me laugh and feel my emotions, He understands.

He wants to experience all with me. He is calling me into relationship where I am all in, because He is.

Lord, here I am, I open my whole heart to You. Help me to surrender the areas that are difficult, I place my trust in You. I invite You in, my Lord and My God. Amen.

Don’t get upset with your imperfections, it’s a great mistake because it leads nowhere. To get angry because you are angry, depressed at being depressed, disappointed because you are disappointed.
