As I continue on the way into the desert with the Lord, I grow tired and a heaviness comes upon me.
I take my eyes off the Lord and grasp for thorns among the flowers; I do my will; I stumble and fall; I am covered in dust. The Lord is with me, I am the one that has turned away.
I am with you always. Matthew 28:20
I turn back to Him. My God, and my Lord, I am sorry, forgive me. I humbly ask for Your help, I am weak and cannot walk relying on my own strength.
He gently and silently gazes at me with love, and through His grace and mercy, He restores me. A renewed sense of peace washes over me and I arise.
The Lord now leads me deeper into the desert, it is a place of suffering. But it is a place that I must go. There is not a way around it. He beckons me to move closer to Him through it. He gently invites me forward and I trust the Lord, take His hand and follow Him on the way.
He will provide the way and the means, such as you could never have imagined. Leave it all to Him, let go of yourself, lose yourself on the Cross, and you will find yourself entirely. St. Catherine of Siena.
