Fears and Tears

Come away and find a quiet place of rest. Let the silence envelop you, as it calls you to go deeper within yourself. To cast off the worries of the world and to listen to the inmost stirrings of your heart.

To notice the breath you take, to feel your heart beat and not let the moment of living pass by. To take time to be quiet, however difficult that may be. To feel the peace and comfort when you realize that you are not alone and are cared for. That you are loved.

To acknowledge you need the Lord and let Him in. To the deep recesses of your heart, call Him and He will be there. He speaks in the silence, give Him the time and He will come and give you rest.

Thank you, my God and my Lord, for showing me that when I open my heart to You, I am opening my heart to those around me. Lord, teach me to love as You do, and bring me to a quiet place of rest. Amen.
