Fears and Tears

It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. John 15:16

This past week I was feeling discouraged and down. It seemed that for every step I took, I ended up two steps back.

My friend shared that they were feeling the same way. I realized that these thoughts and feelings I was having were not from God.

God voice brings peace and encouragement, and I was able to let go of the discouraging feelings and move forward again.

God also gave me a great consolation at Mass over the weekend. It was through the homily when the priest spoke of being chosen by God.

I felt my heart be pierced by his words: God chose you, yes there are people better, but God didn’t choose them, He chose you.

These words gave me a new strength to let go of the discouragement that I was feeling and trust God.

Thank you, my Lord and my God, for opening my eyes to hear Your voice that is true, good, and brings me peace. I pray, that I bear good fruit which brings You glory. Amen.
