Fears and Tears

Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those whom His favor rests. Luke 2:14

The ordinary, hidden life is an extraordinary life, the little moments in time that turn my gaze to the Lord, to seek Him. It is a beautiful time, the Christmas season, where my attention is fixed on the Lord, who came to earth as a baby born all those years ago. He came with great love in a most unexpected way. That is the way with God, it is not the way I imagine things.

I listen in the deepest regions of my heart for His still small voice calling out to me, to seek Him, to visit Him, to follow Him, receiving His love and I feel great joy resonate in my entire being. He is here, present with me, in the most intimate way, leading me where I am to go.

It is the little way, the small things He calls me to. It is a simple and prayerful life, hidden away from the world, but nevertheless radiating love to all. Moments spent gazing on His sweet face, receiving the love from God and in my little way, giving Him my love. I long to press the baby Jesus to my heart as He whispers to my soul, my daughter, it is good that you are here with Me. My Lord and My God, it is You whom my heart seeks, whom my heart longs for, whom my heart loves, and I rest in You, my Lord. He is present now and my heart is at peace with Him, the one whom I seek.

Arise, my beloved, my beautiful one and come! For see, the winter is past and the rains are over and gone. The flowers appear on earth, the time of pruning the vines has come, and the song of my dove is heard in our land. Song of Songs 2:10-12
