Praise the Lord

I sit in silence, and ponder what the Lord has said to me the last few months. My heart is overwhelmed by the great love of the Lord during this most sacred time of the year. Every year of the Lenten season, followed by the Passion and Resurrection of the Lord, I experience something different and new.

I feel the Lord calling me deeper into relationship with Him, and I hear the words that He speaks to my heart. They echo in my body and soul and invite me closer to Him. It is a continual call to love and serve, it is a call to abandon myself completely to Him, it is a call to abide with Him.

Sometimes I feel as if I am caught between two worlds, the earthly one and the heavenly one. I ponder this in the stillness of the morning where not a sound is heard.

I begin my day with a deep joy and peace because He is near to me; the Risen Lord. He makes all things new and the light shines through His most sacred wounds. His most precious blood washes away the sins, the hurt, and the pain. The love and mercy of God pours out upon the earth and I give all thanks and praise to the Father. Where the song on my lips becomes a Hallelujah, which means Praise the Lord.

May today there be a peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. Is is there for each and every one of us. St. Therese of Lisieux.
