Fears and Tears

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; Jesus also was invited to the marriage with His disciples. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” John 2:1-5

During my early morning prayer time, the Lord directed me to this scripture. This is my personal prayer experience that I am sharing with you, as I sat with the Lord, in the darkness of the early morning as dawn was slowly revealing the light of the day, so the Lord was revealing to my heart.

The following stood out to me: The wedding was on the third day, resurrection and new life. The mother of Jesus was there, Jesus and His disciples were also invited. When the wine ran short, Mary intercedes. Jesus gives the good wine.

Lord , I am here, I am listening, Lord, what are you telling me to do? The Lord spoke to my heart and said, fill the stone jars with water. I will turn the water into wine. A continuous blessing to be poured out, a blessing of joy and peace, of love of family and friends. A celebration of many. Go to my Mary, she is always there, always listening, always available, she is your mother. When you have lost your joy, she brings your cries to Me, she brings your prayers to Me, she listens to your heart when the words don’t come out. She loves you in the most pure way and so do I.

It is a continuing surrender and trust, striving forward towards the heavenly wedding, the celebration that I have prepared in Heaven. I lead you deeper, come my daughter, take my hand, I offer you the good wine, the fruit of joy.

Lord, what you tell me, I will do. Thank you for this precious time. Amen.
