A Call to Prayer

Have no anxiety at all, but everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7

As I enter into the beautiful fall season I feel a deeper call to prayer in a new way. With the shorter days and cooler temperatures, it is a beckoning to be in the stillness as the scenery changes around me.

To follow the promptings of the heart and go where the Lord leads me. As the trees let go of their leaves, I let go of my fear, doubt and anxiety and watch it blow away in the wind.

I offer it to the Lord, and pray for His help. In His kindness, He answers me. He is my Comforter and my Help; and like a cozy, warm blanket, He covers me with a deep and profound love.

Thank you, Lord, I follow your call to prayer, I pray to do Your will, not mine, and I give You praise, love, and honor. I am grateful for the community you surround me with, they are truly a blessing. Amen.

Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry St. Padre Pio
