Fears and Tears

Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love, and the future to God’s providence. St. Augustine of Hippo

It seems simple to trust in God. He is the creator of all things. He gave me my very breath, my very being, my very life, all because of the great love He has for me.

It seems simple but it is not. It requires me to let go, to surrender all my hopes, all my fears, all my life to God. To follow my God and my Lord in humility, trusting Him and His plan.

It is to open my heart to His will for my life, to follow His path, and not my own. It is to trust.

I pray for the grace to remain close to the Lord in prayer, and for the grace of trust, and when the fear and anxiety come, that I bring them to the one who cares for me. My God, and my Lord, have mercy on me. Thank you for your great love and care of me. Amen.
