The Twelve Days of Christmas

As I continue into the beautiful season of Christmas, I ponder the gifts I have received and I hold them deep in my heart.

The Lord has provided me with twelve words to ponder as I begin a new year, one for each month.

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, peace.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, hope.

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me, wonder.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, silence.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, beauty.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, time.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me, tears.

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, gratitude.

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, prayer.

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, praise.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me, rest.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me, love.

I have received a beautiful Christmas song and the words repeat in a soft tone which carry me into a new year. I can hear the melody in the stillness of the morning, the busyness of the day, or the winding down of the evening: peace, hope, wonder, silence, beauty, time, tears, gratitude, prayer, praise, rest and love.

My true love speaks and I receive the gift He composed for me this beautiful Christmas season. The beauty and goodness of God surrounds me like a warm embrace and I enter into the new year following God where He leads. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – Vikki.
