Have no anxiety at all, but everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7
As I enter into the beautiful summer season I feel a deeper call to prayer in a new way. With the longer days, warmer temperatures, and slower pace, it is a beckoning to be in the stillness as the scenery changes around me.
To follow the promptings of the heart and go where the Lord leads me. As the trees are full of leaves, and the flowers are in bloom, I allow myself to be filled with the love of God.
That love calls me to prayer, and allows me to put my trust in Him. The Lord is gentle, kind, and patient; He hears the pleadings of my heart, comforts me in my anxiety, and leads me to the way of peace.
Thank you, my Lord, and my God. Amen.
