My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope. God alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not fall. My deliverance and honor are with God, my strong rock; my refuge is with God. Trust God at all times, my people! Pour out your hearts to God our refuge! Psalm 62:6-9
The word that the Lord has been putting on my heart this week is hope. What a beautiful word, hope. Hope calls me to put my trust in the Lord, who is faithful to His promises.
Hope reminds me that the Lord will never leave or forsake me. That I am precious in His sight and I am His beloved daughter.
Hope reminds me that I can go to the Lord with my fears, my anxieties, and my petitions, and He is always there.
Hope in God gives me strength even when my prayer doesn’t seem to be answered in a way I was expecting. It allows me to trust in His way and not my own way.
Hope transforms me, like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon, I am changed and not the same. It allows me to live with courage and strength because God cares for me.
The Lord spoke to my heart and said, “There is always hope, my daughter, do not forget that.”
Thank you Lord, I pray for an increase of the virtue of hope, and when I get discouraged I turn to you, Lord. You fight for me. Thank you for your blessings, all glory and honor to You, my God and my Lord. Amen.
For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope. When you call me, and come and pray to Me, I will listen to you. When you look for Me, you will find Me. Yes, when you seek me with your whole heart. Jer. 29:11-13
