Fears and Tears

In the center of my being my heart is open to You, my Lord and my God. I desire to keep the flame burning with the precious oil of prayer, that never ceases. Your Most Precious Heart is pure love that was pierced for me.

In the silence of my heart, I offer You my prayers, and like fragrant incense, I desire them to be pleasing to You.

You are the Way, the Truth, and the Light. It was written in my heart when You called me forth to life.

Today, the Most Sacred Novena begins. I offer this novena for the prayers in my heart, offered with all those praying specifically for these nine days.

The USCCB has a special novena this year for the 250 anniversary of the United States. On June 11th, they will consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Lord, receive our prayers and may Your blessings and grace be poured out on the world, the country, and all the people whom You called forth to life. Holy Spirit, breathe on us and renew the face of the earth.

Jesus, take my heart and may all my heartbeats offer you praise and glory. Take my breath, and may all my breath offer you praise and glory. Amen.

He was pierced for our sins, crushed for our iniquity. He bore the punishment that makes us whole, by his wounds we were healed^.
