Fears and Tears

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:11

I read this scripture slowly and sit with it awhile, it beckons me closer to the Lord. It is as if I am on a wide road that narrows as I journey on it, and it leads to God. That is where He calls me to be.

I find myself out by the pool the last evening of my visit to Florida.

It is a restful place with a cool breeze in the air and a cloud cover that stretches over the horizon. The sun is setting and the sky glows orange as the darkness of the night is coming. The Lord has brought me here; a stillness surrounds me and I cannot hear any noise, and I be.

The crescent moon is visible as the darkness takes over and Venus and Jupiter can be seen. They glow in brilliance, one above and one below the sliver of the crescent moon, in a perfect line.

I take in the beauty of creation and I feel the order and hand of God. It is breathtaking and I am still and know. Amen.
