Summer

Be who you are and be that well. St. Francis de Sales

The sun shines brightly in the summer season. The hot, humid air brushes my face and sweat forms on my brow.

Summer is to be felt, in the body and in the soul. To breathe in the fragrant air, and exhale slowly, remembering to be grateful for the beautiful day and the gift of life.

I enjoy the different pace during the summer, slow and simple. A time of bbq food, fresh fruit and vegetables, along with iced tea.

A time to read a favorite book outside while birds chirp in the background. A time to cool off at the pool, with lingering memories of past summers that were spent with family and friends.

A time to thank God for the sunshine and the rain, for the blue sky and the storm clouds, for the longer days and shorter nights. A time to be with God. It is, a time well spent in summer.

From the rising of the sun to its setting let the name of the Lord be praised. Psalm 113:3
