The Lord never ceases to amaze me. He is always speaking, sometimes in the most ordinary of circumstances.
I purchased a dress for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. I ordered it online and when I received it, I could not zip it.
I made an appointment with a seamstress to switch the zipper back to a corset back.
After the alterations, the dress fit me. When the seamstress was lacing up the corset and pulling it a little tighter and tighter, the Lord spoke to me.
He spoke in the silence of my being without words. The Lord showed me an image of His heart bound to my heart.
The tighter the seamstress pulled on the ribbons of the corset, the closer I felt bound to the Lord. An ordinary moment turned extraordinary.
Thank you. my Lord and my God. I am grateful for the beautiful image of two hearts bound in love. Amen.
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine, by the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
